Banana Republic is following companies like J Crew and debuting a signature limited edition collection separate from their normal clothing line. "BR Monogram" is supposed to be their higher end collection...utilizing rich fabrics and details. I must say I really like the clothes in this collection. Looking at the summer line I had a hard time finding pieces I didn't like.
I will also say that I struggled to find many differences between their Monogram clothes and the clothes in the regular BR line. Not only did they seem to use the same fabrics (at least on paper) and silhouettes but the prices were about the same too. I am thinking the only thing distinct and special about the line is that it has a new name (and limited quantities!)
In the end I don't care...if I like the clothes I will purchase them no matter what collection they are from. And I really love the two looks below. Classic Banana Republic at its finest.
